Protecting people from endless suffering, the "Stop Harassment♥ Project" creates a supportive environment I'm Fujimura, the representative of the Industrial Hygiene Consulting Institute in Toyama. We are launching the "Stop Harassment♥ Project" to ensure that everyone can work in a safe and comfortable environment. We seek your support. We are deeply concerned about the ongoing harassment issues, frequently reported in the entertainment industry and large corporations. However, victims often find themselves isolated, unable to consult anyone, leading to mental distress, depression, and in worst cases, suicide. We aim to provide a web service as "a safety concierge for all workers," a platform for harassment victims to learn from others' experiences and take action. This includes an AI chat feature and access to experts for daily problems and grievances. Another critical aspect is to think about harassment prevention from three perspectives: "Don’t do it, don’t be subjected to it, don’t let it happen." This requires understanding and developing a database for harassment and labor issues, making cases searchable and shareable, and providing 24/7 AI-based consultations, expert advice, and training in non-cognitive skills for mental and physical recovery. We believe these initiatives will create a safe working environment. Please support our activities. The Stop Harassment Project is also seeking funding to develop the website and AI chat system. STOP! Harassment! Don't do it, don't let it happen! The Stop Harassment♥ Project begins! - CAMPFIRE (camp-fire.jp) Consultation through Web Services and Four Missions to Resolve Harassment Issues The Industrial Hygiene Consulting Institute is addressing harassment issues through the "Stop Harassment♥ Project." Our four missions are: 1) Understanding and developing a database for harassment and labor issues, 2) Sharing information (search engine function), 3) Offering educational, counseling, and coaching experiences in developing non-cognitive skills like self-affirmation, and 4) Assisting in resolving daily problems and anxieties through AI chat and expert consultations. However, to achieve these, the "Hataraku Anata no Anshin Konsheruju" web service is essential, offering consultations with AI and experts, and facilitating a three-pronged approach to harassment: "Don’t do it, don’t be subjected to it, don’t let it happen." Despite current management training and e-learning for employees, workplace harassment persists. The Stop Harassment♥ Project is crucial when considering the above three perspectives. We aim to create a safe working environment by providing a place where everyone can share their experiences and find solutions. We also strive to offer a web service with accessible AI and expert consultation features. Everyone's cooperation is needed to create a safe working environment where each person can protect themselves and recover mentally and physically. We will promote this significant project to increase awareness and involvement in harassment issues. Working from the Tip of the Iceberg to Create a Shared Space and to Provide Support for Those in Need While harassment is increasingly covered in the media and through educational efforts, it's just the tip of the iceberg. Many victims of harassment are isolated and suffer from mental illness, depression, and diseases, sometimes leading to suicide. According to a survey by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, about 40% of people did not take any action after experiencing power or sexual harassment, mainly because they felt nothing would change or feared job-related disadvantages. We aim to support those suffering by providing a web platform where they can share experiences and find solutions. Stop Harassment♥ Project: Creating a Safe and Comfortable Space As a result of our interactions with various companies and employees, and experiences in workplace environments, we feel a strong need to support those suffering from various forms of harassment. It takes immense courage for victims to consult others or confront their harassers, often leading to mental and physical exhaustion. Unfortunately, current harassment training for managers and employees does not eliminate workplace harassment. We need to recognize and act on harassment before it worsens byproviding a platform and opportunities for victims to share experiences, finding methods to protect oneself, and creating asite that serves as a resting place for their minds. Don't Do It!: People generally feel a moral obligation not to engage in harassment. However, those who harass often have various characteristics and backgrounds. Unless they realize their actions are harassment, it will continue. This includes factors like childhood and adolescent environments, mental illness, personality disorders, and “jock culture” mentality. These individuals often persist in their actions unconsciously or without remorse, needing opportunities for awareness. Don't Be Subjected to It!: Victims of harassment are not at fault. To prevent being targeted by harassers, it's important to understand the characteristics of typical victims and actions that harassers dislike. While gentle, sensible people are often targeted, harassers tend to avoid those who appear intimidating, likely to argue back, or have connections to their acquaintances. Don't Let It Happen!: Workplace harassment prevention currently focuses on training for managers and employees. However, to make harassers aware of the abnormality of their actions, organizations and workplaces must continuously communicate a strong message: "Harassment will not be tolerated." If harassment is not appropriately addressed, victims may suffer mental and physical exhaustion, leading to escalated harassment, external consultations, labor tribunals, or litigation. Early intervention based on a thorough understanding of workplace issues is necessary. Rapid Response with AI Chat Consultation Feature, Already Proven Overseas In Japan, Kashiwa City has started a pilot project for an "AI Problems Chat Consultation Room." AI-based consultations are widely used overseas, especially in mental health, customer support, education, and business consulting. Applications of AI include: Mental Health: AI provides psychological support, understanding users' emotions and problems, and offering appropriate advice and resources. For instance, AI-based applications have been developed for people with anxiety and depression, providing low-cost access. Customer Service: AI chatbots respond to customer inquiries 24/7, offering problem-solving and information. This reduces response times and improves customer satisfaction. Education: AI supports students' learning, providing customized education tailored to individual learning styles and needs. Business Consulting: AI is used in corporate decision-making, market analysis, and data analysis, processing large amounts of data quickly and providing valuable insights. We expect widespread adoption of AI chat consultation services (Hataraku Anata no Anshin Konsheruju, Ai-chan) in the future. The Stop Harassment♥ Project, as a frontrunner, seeks your cooperation to enhance the chat function and to advance system development. Asking for your Help in Crowdfunding for Rapid and Comprehensive Support The Industrial Hygiene Consulting Institute, established in July 2023 by representative Yuko Fujimura, aims to promote human capital management and health management. For a startup sole proprietor, crowdfunding is the best way to quickly raise funds for system development. This project aims to spread awareness of the Stop Harassment♥ Project's mission and quickly establish a harassment support system. We seek support and endorsement through crowdfunding for the necessary system development funds.
